Alyssa is a designer and photojournalist from San Francisco, now in her senior year at the University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Art & Design. She serves as Senior Photo Editor at The Michigan Daily, leading a staff of visual journalists who cover the pulse of campus and the culture around it. She also works as a camera operator for Big Ten Network and freelances for athletes and sports teams across Michigan. In 2024, she worked as a surf photographer in Bali with Soleia Surf Academy. Her work sits at the intersection of sport and culture, grounded in composites, design thinking, and storytelling. She’s especially drawn to the narrative rhythm of sports: how identity, loyalty, and quiet rituals reveal themselves over time. Alyssa builds that depth through a mix of photography, writing, and visual systems. Alyssa values speed and reliability in fast-moving environments and brings a versatile creative approach that blends art direction, branding, and reportage.
Alyssa is available for freelance assignments and is pursuing full-time or seasonal roles in photojournalism, art direction, team creative, or digital asset management after her graduation in May 2026.
