Alyssa is a photojournalist and graphic designer from California, now finishing her senior year at the University of Michigan’s STAMPS School of Art & Design with a Minor in Entrepreneurship. She is Senior Photo Editor at The Michigan Daily, leading a 30-person staff whose coverage reaches more than 20 million readers each year. She also produces live sports broadcasts for Big Ten Network Student U, freelances for campus organizations, and has worked abroad as a surf photojournalist in Bali with Soleia Surf Academy.
Her work lives at the intersection of sport and culture, focused on the stories that unfold beyond the scoreboard—the rituals, communities, and fleeting moments that define the human side of competition. She often blends photography, writing, and design to build layered narratives that cut deeper than the game itself. Alyssa is currently available for freelance assignments and is pursuing full-time photojournalism opportunities after her graduation in May 2026.
